Tour Starting Point: Deer Lake, NL
The Most History Dense Place in Canada
It might be a bold claim, but one could argue that the Great Northern Peninsula has more chapters of world history on display than anywhere else in Canada. Where else can visitors see the earth’s mantle, evidence of prehistoric people, Viking settlements, Indigenous communities, and traditional Newfoundland fishing villages?
Three Days in Gros Morne National Park
Start your tour off in famous Gros Morne National Park. Guests get to explore the Parks different landscapes from the strange Tablelands and craggy coastlines to forests and mountains. A special highlight will be the boat tour through the Western Brook Pond Fjord.
An Organized Tour is the Way to Go!
Due to the vast distances, limited access, and sparse facilities across Newfoundland, organizing where to go, how to get there, and where to stay and eat can be quite challenging. As a result, hikers who try to make their own arrangements often spend a lot of time dealing with logistics. In contrast, guests on DeLuxe Hiking tours can maximize their experience by focusing on the highlights!
